Words are amazingly powerful tools which can yield good or bad results. In my quest to love and appreciate my skin, body, mind and spirit more, I have revisited my earlier passion – collecting quotations. Here, I would like to share 7 quotations on the words ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Beauty’.
What are Quotations?
Quotations are phrases or sentences that can profoundly affect our mind and spirit. They contain words which can touch us emotionally and can be interpreted through a multitude of perspectives. Quotations can bring out varieties of emotions and opinions because it can be smart, funny, witty, inspiring, exciting, motivating, etc. Quotations are worth keeping, repeating and sharing with others. Treasures for the mind and spirit.
Quotations and me
My first attempt at collecting quotations started when I was 13 years old and I can still remember those words:
“Blessed are the young for they shall inherit the national debt.” – Herbert Hoover, the 31st President of the United States.
Honestly, at that time, I though it was a funny joke – it made me smile every time I repeated those words. Turned out that it’s a reality in most countries. Now, I find it sarcastic.
Being a parent myself, I know that no parent would wish to impose such a burden on their children. Neither would any sane and responsible leader inflict such fate on the next generation unless they have no choice or they believe it to be an investment for a better future. Who knows for certain what’s in store in the future, anyway?
Then, way back in 2006, I resume my fascination with quotations. I collected quite a number of quotations – mostly witty, funny and inspiring phrases by people who have passed away. They are souls that I believe have made an impact on our society, and have graced this earth with their wisdom, experience and knowledge.
